Understanding who your customers are, is important when times are good, and essential when times are tough. To help us do this we use Analysis codes, simply Analysis codes are used to break information down into smaller pieces of data, helping you to understand the numbers. In turn this allows you to track trends, identify opportunities and protect against risk.
This video shows you how to:
1. Create the Analysis Code within Sage 200c
Navigate to Accounting System Manager>Settings>Maintain Analysis Codes
2. Add the Analysis Values to the Analysis Code
3. Link the Analysis Code to the Sales Ledger
Navigate to the Sales Ledger>Utilities>Ledger Settings>Maintain Analysis Codes
4. Assign the Analysis Values to the Customer Accounts
In later videos we will look at updating analysis codes via a CSV file, saving time and adding the analysis code to reports to help you extract data and understand sales trends.
It is worth noting that Analysis Codes are available in the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Nominal Ledger. Once created they can also be used on Sales Order, Invoices and Purchase Orders.
